Ani Behrouzi is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Her journey into mental health field began during clinical rotation in nursing school. Ani believes that true healing required addressing both the emotional and physical aspects of a person’s well-being. This realization motivated her to pursue a career as a PMHNP. With eight years of experience in the psychiatric field, Ani has acquired a wealth of knowledge in treating a diverse array of psychiatric disorders. Ani’s approach to psychiatric treatment extends beyond medication management alone. She firmly believes that sustainable mental health management requires a comprehensive understanding of various factors such as diet, sleep patterns, electronic use, and physical activity.
Ani Behrouzi, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), is now available in Folsom, Rocklin, Roseville, Rancho Cordova, Fair Oaks, Orangevale, Carmichael, Sacramento, Lincoln, Granite Bay, Elk Grove in the greater Sacramento area of California.
Ani graduated with honors from NYU and Eastern Kentucky University. Furthermore, she served as a consultant at a local hospital, guiding them in creating policies, procedures, training guides, and educational tools for their eating disorder unit. She was also a guest lecturer at the UCSF school of Nursing, where she educated graduate nursing students about the pathophysiology and medical complications of eating disorders, raising awareness about their lethality within the community.

Ani works with children, adolescents and adults and specializes in treating depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, acute crisis, substance use, eating disorders, OCD, ADHD, and trauma-related disorders. By employing evidence-based practices and staying up to date with the latest advancements in the field, she is able to provide comprehensive and effective care to her patients. Ani believes in creating a collaborative treatment plan that is tailored to patient’s unique needs and capabilities. Ani prioritizes open communication, active listening, and mutual respect in order to foster a therapeutic alliance that promotes healing and growth.
Outside of her professional life, Ani cherishes spending quality time with her loving husband, children, and extended family. She enjoys exploring nature through hiking and bike riding, engaging in crafts, and indulging in the joys of cooking with her family. Ani also finds solace in reading and listening to thought-provoking podcasts.
