Dr. Chandi is a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive experience in outpatient, community mental health, and acute care settings. Her professional background includes work with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, the Rochester Center for Behavioral Medicine, and leadership experience as Chief Resident at Beaumont Hospital.
She has been recognized with the Beaumont Wellness Award and has contributed volunteer service during community crises, including mental health support following the Oxford High School tragedy.
Dr. Chandi’s clinical interests include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, cultural psychiatry, and mental health care within South Asian communities. She is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association and contributes to several mentorship and advocacy initiatives through SAMHIN and the Michigan Psychiatric Society.
Her research has been featured at national conferences, including poster presentations on mental health symptom prevalence among South Asians and anti-NMDAR encephalitis at the American Psychiatric Association Annual Meeting.
